Evening Workshops

The institute offers 3-hour evening workshop twice a month on Tuesdays (usually the second and fourth Tuesday of the month). These workshops offer you an excellent opportunity to investigate particular themes of movement and particular functions in greater detail. You’ll also learn the cumulative power of doing two or three lessons in a row, and have a chance to learn some of the anatomy and physiology involved in particular patterns of action.

I have long been intrigued by this subtle form of retraining the nervous system, which I currently recommend to patients whose movement has been restricted by injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, fibromyalgia, or chronic pain. I find it to be much more useful than standard physical therapy. I also believe that the Feldenkrais Method can help older people achieve greater range of motion, flexibility, and help us all feel more comfortable in our bodies.
