I have long been intrigued by this subtle form of retraining the nervous system, which I currently recommend to patients whose movement has been restricted by injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, fibromyalgia, or chronic pain. I find it to be much more useful than standard physical therapy. I also believe that the Feldenkrais Method can help older people achieve greater range of motion, flexibility, and help us all feel more comfortable in our bodies.

Would you like to free up your backbends and twists? Find stability in balancing and standing poses? Does one shoulder or hip feel ‘restricted’ when you explore a pose on one side, but ‘open’ on the other? By improving your innate neuromuscular organization and challenging your unconscious habits of posture and movement, Feldenkrais can greatly enhance your yoga practice.

Please join Yoga and Feldenkrais teacher Suzanne Ausnit for a special day-long workshop to experience Feldenkrais lessons that relate directly to yoga poses. You will discover greater range of motion as well as more power and stability, and experience how movement, sensation and imagination can bring immediate improvement, making challenging poses easy—and “impossible” ones possible.
